In this project, we invite you to take a closer look at one of our latest electrical jobs in Woodstock, Georgia, part of the Greater Atlanta area. The project involved the professional installation of a Tesla EV charger for a residential customer.
The job site was approximately twenty-five minutes from our office. After inspecting the electrical panel, our electricians discovered that the panel only had one available breaker slot. Since a Tesla charger requires a sixty-amp double-pole breaker, modifications to the electrical panel were necessary before installation could begin.
To create enough space, we carefully removed several existing breakers and replaced them with tandem breakers, allowing us to install the required sixty-amp breaker safely and efficiently. Our team then visited Home Depot to purchase the necessary materials, including two twenty-amp tandem breakers and one sixty-amp breaker for the EV charger installation.
The Tesla charger was installed in the customer’s garage near the electrical panel. One of the highlights of this project was that the entire installation was completed without cutting or damaging any drywall, resulting in a clean and professional appearance.
