The Hub Pro Electric team recently completed a residential electrical wiring project for motorized window shades at a home in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
Several weeks before the installation, the homeowner contacted us to provide the electrical infrastructure required for new motorized window shades in the living room. Before any work began, our electricians visited the property to evaluate the installation requirements, determine the appropriate power locations, and prepare a detailed estimate for the project.
Since the window shades were being installed by a separate company, the project required careful coordination between both installation teams. The goal was for our electricians and the window treatment installers to work together on the same day, ensuring the electrical wiring would be completed exactly when the motorized shades were ready to be installed.
However, on the scheduled installation day, the window shade installers determined that the installation height was much greater than expected and that they did not have the necessary equipment to safely access the work area. As a result, the project had to be postponed, and our team returned without performing the electrical installation.
After the project was rescheduled, Hub Pro Electric returned to the property on the new installation date. This time, all necessary access equipment, including scaffolding and extension ladders, was available, allowing both teams to safely reach the installation area and complete the work.
During the project, our electricians removed and updated the existing low-voltage wiring, installed new electrical circuits required for the motorized window shades, completed all necessary wiring connections, and connected the system to a new junction box. Every phase of the installation was completed carefully and in accordance with current electrical standards and best practices.
Once the electrical work was finished, the motorized window shade system was fully operational and ready for everyday use. The homeowner was extremely pleased with the clean workmanship, professional installation, and successful coordination between all teams involved.
